The Grande Chaumière Project, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, represents the successful transformation of a 25 m² studio. Formerly unoccupied and in poor condition, this studio was completely redesigned to become a real cocoon, conducive to convivial evenings and a pleasant daily life, far from a simple place of passage.
The main challenge was to make the space warm and inviting, while optimizing every square meter. Just because it’s a studio doesn’t mean that the services on offer had to be scaled down; it was essential to be ingenious in order to include top-of-the-range services.
In terms of aesthetics and style, the owners gave us carte blanche, allowing us to make choices we particularly liked. Exposed beams, emblematic of Parisian charm, were used to breathe warmth and character into the entire space.
In the bathroom, carefully selected materials harmonize with those of the adjoining room, establishing a subtle link while maximizing comfort and functionality.
This attention to detail is also reflected in the carefully chosen color palette: black parquet flooring combines delicately with cream and beige walls, creating a cosy ambience that plays on the brightness of the space.
To bring warmth and modernity, a mix of styles was carefully orchestrated. An antique elm sideboard was chosen as the centerpiece, while aged parquet reinforces the studio’s authentic character. At the same time, modern pieces were integrated to add a contemporary touch. A vintage 70s gilded chandelier, accompanied by brushed steel chairs and bedside table, adds a contemporary note while respecting the overall harmony. Each element has been carefully selected, creating a perfect balance between past and present.
To guarantee maximum luxury, every aspect has been meticulously thought through. Quality furniture, such as the brushed steel chairs and bedside table by FRAMA, and the vintage gold chandelier by Selency, perfectly illustrate this quest for comfort and aesthetics. What’s more, the bathroom’s snow tiles and black faucets blend harmoniously with modern elements, creating a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
Projet Grande Chaumière is more than just a renovation; it’s a celebration of Parisian architectural heritage, combined with contemporary design. The studio is now a space where luxury and functionality meet, ready to welcome tenants looking for a real home from home in the heart of the capital.
